The north side of the peninsula offers a mild climate in summer thanks to a constant breeze.
Secluded coves and small beaches call the visitors for sunbathing and swimming. Torba, adorned with a quaint little harbour and fish restaurants, provides tranquillity and pleasure. Holidays in Torba are especially recommended for those who prefer small but nice resorts with modern hotel facilities. When one embarks on the trail of the past, there are relics of a well preserved rotunda, probably a grave, and ruins of a Byzantine monastery to discover. The Temple of Apollo at Didymium can also easily be reached by ferry from Torba.
